ZTL (controlled traffic zone) information

Scroll down to content

For mobility purposes, the whole of the historical centre of Pavia is considered a Controlled Traffic Zone (ZTL). Within this zone, entry, traffic and parking are all governed by specific laws. The ZTL is bordered by a number of access points that, besides being marked by special signs, are monitored by cameras that automatically read the number plates of all vehicles passing through. Arnaboldi Palace is located in the heart of the historical city of Pavia, but all our guest are allowed to enter the restricted area. They just have to inform the hotel reception staff of car’s number plate within two hours of entering

Q&A

How and when to communicate the license plate?

After the entrance at the reception desk or sending  an e-mail (with name, entering time, car model and plate) at info@arnaboldipalace.com

What about to exit the area?

No notice is required to exit the ZTL

What’s going on if the staff is not informed about the entrance?

If the staff is not informed of the entrance and therefore finds itself unable to communicate it to the relevant authorities, the entry will be considered unauthorised and will be sanctioned accordingly.

It is allowed to enter the restricted area only for 30 minutes just to leave the luggages and for the check in procedures. It’s not allowed park outside the hotel.
